[lastfm]Delphic[/lastfm]’s debut album Acolyte was released stateside in late June. Prior to the release, Richard Boardman, Matt Cocksedge and James Cook stopped by the Discover studio the afternoon following their first U.S. show.

[lastfm]Delphic[/lastfm]’s first visit to the U.S. last April, to perform at both the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival and Popscene in San Francisco, was cancelled in the wake of the volcanic ash from Iceland. Jump ahead to mid-June, where [lastfm]Delphic[/lastfm] make their first concert appearance in Brooklyn, NY at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg. Their first radio session followed, at the Discover studio.[pullquote quote=”The whole album was completely conceptualized before we even wrote it.” credit=”Matthew Cocksedge”]

The band arrived in New York City a few days prior, and did the “touristy” thing, roamed Times Square and ate the “World’s Eighth Best Burger.” Once in our studio, the band was in great spirits, following their debut U.S. show the night before. This initial U.S. trip would also include stops in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The band comes back to North America, part of a tour that includes Discover artists [lastfm]The Temper Trap [/lastfm]and [lastfm]The Hundred In The Hands[/lastfm]. The tour starts 9/26 in Philadelphia and wraps up in Los Angeles on 10/23. Read more about Discover:
