Not sure if you’ve ever tried to record a psychedelic opus but you’ve got to bend it just right or you’ll sound silly instead of psylly. Secret Colours‘ influences are obvious; Jesus and Mary Chain, Stone Roses, Charlatans U.K. and the London UFO scene circa ’67. Blessedly, they’ve got terrific tunes, too. Check out the Chicago quintet along with other new Chicago music on Local Anesthetic this Sunday night at 7:30.
