The band has already made a big splash in the U.K. Now, with the release of their debut album in the U.S., the members of The Drums are set to take on their homeland.

Take in exclusive live performances that The Drums did for Last.fm Discover. Songs include “Book Of Stories,” “Best Friend,” “Forever And Ever, Amen,” and “We Tried,” all followed by the exclusive Discover interview with Jonathan, Jacob, Adam and Connor.

The Drums first caught our ears in the late summer of last year with the release of their Summertime! EP. How could you not be sucked into “Let’s Go Surfing,” with it’s infectious melody and whistling? For the EP, The Drums were just the duo of vocalist Jonathan Pierce and guitarist Jacob Graham. They were joined shortly after by second guitarist Adam Kessler and drummer Connor Hanwick. The Drums were sort of I guess, inspired in a way by, being desperate...feeling desperate.

The self-titled debut album from this Brooklyn, NY-based band was released in the U.K. this past June and sees its Stateside release this week. Watch and listen below to get caught up on this band, and see why many music publications and fans have touted them one of 2010′s ‘best and brightest hopes.’

The Drums are on a North American tour through October 22 and will have Surfer Blood opening most of the shows on this trek. For more info on Last.fm Discover, visit: www.last.fmdiscover.com
