It was the most talked-bout rock ‘n roll reunion of the year. When Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd took the stage at Seattle’s Showbox Theater this past April, it was the first time fans had seen Soundgarden together since 1997. Four months later the guys would headline the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, officially kicking off the next phase in Soundgarden history. Truly one of the most influential bands of the 1990′s, their return has sparked a frenzy among fans. Luckily the reunion also moved the band to put out some gems from their archives, and this week we get Telephantasm, a collection of greatest hits, live tracks, alternate studio cuts and a never-before-released single called “Black Rain.”

Here’s the brand new video for “Black Rain,” a track that was originally recorded in or around 1991 during the recording sessions for the Badmotorfinger album.

There are multiple versions of Telephantasm available this week, with expanded editions offering additional discs of unreleased material plus the band’s first-ever DVD release. Here is the track listing for the standard edition CD – click here to check out track listings for the deluxe versions.
