Video: Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” Music Video

Photos: Arcade Fire Live…Directed by Spike Jonze (Where The Wild Things Are, Being John Malkovitch), the video for Arcade Fire‘s “The Suburbs” brings the song to like, following the lives of bored teenagers like a dark, modern, Wonder Years.
Jonze told MTV that he wanted “The Suburbs” video to play out like a short film. Captured in the suburbs of Austin, Texas, the music video features a group of teenagers riding bikes, shooting off BB guns, getting into trouble and eventually getting in over their heads.

The song was strong enough on it’s own but now the video gives the lyrics more sense. I don’t know if thats good but it sure was cool. Besides the video reminds me of Matt Dillon’s first movie back in 1979. Can’t remember the name but it was before My Bodyguard.
