Up Against The Wall…Again. Pink Floyd Is Back…Sort Of

pink 3851 Up Against The Wall...Again. Pink Floyd Is Back...Sort Of[photogallerylink id=38480 align=left]Mary Dixon gave us the scoop on the new [lastfm]Clash[/lastfm] movie. I’ve got news about a new [lastfm]Pink Floyd[/lastfm] film…The Wall. And you’re thinking, where’ve you been, Ter. They already made a film about the Wall. Yeah, but this time it’s about the school children who sang on the song “Another Brick In The Wall, part 2.”

The producer Andy Harries, who made The Queen, said the film will be like Dead Poets Society meets School Of Rock. Seems the real life music teacher involved used to smoke in class, was often drunk and swore at the students. Heck, I had a nun that did that. But we’ll see. Harries has the rights to the teacher’s story (Alun Renshaw is his name), but doesn’t have the rights to the song yet, so lawyers will be involved. It might take awhile. We’ll let you know.

Very interesting. I think this is an absolutely wonderful idea. I’d love to see those original kids perform with Floyd today just to see and hear the age progression. I think 30 years has gone by fast enough for us all.
