Free MP3 Download: The Recorded Return of The Feelies
The Feelies were a band that most people might not know of now or never heard of back in the mid to late 70′s but their 1st album on Stiff Records Crazy Rhythms back in 1980 influenced a generation of musicians including bands like R.E.M. The band went thru several lineup changes and under different monikers in and around New Jersey and New York. They later remerged with in the mid 80′s with a more solid lineup and released what I consider the best driving album ever recorded The Good Earth that was co-produced by band members Glenn Mercer, Bill Million and R.E.M.’s Peter Buck. The group was signed to A&M records by the earlier 90′s then disbanded until the summer of 2008 when they did a series of shows at their favorite venue Maxwells in Hoboken and did a show at Millennium Park here in Chicago in the summer of 2009.
The band had been recording a new album that is now scheduled to be released in April of this year and earlier this morning Pitchfork posted a free mp3 of the forthcoming new album
