Photos: BeckHe can rock you or he can lull you with an unraveling tale, but either way, once you hear Thurston Moore‘s music (or even Sonic Youth for that matter) one thing is clear: You’re hooked, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
On May 24th, Matador Records will be releasing the Beck produced Demolished Thoughts, a 9-song collection described by the label as “achingly beautiful and amongst Moore’s most nuanced and personal.” Download the album’s opening track “Benediction,” featuring a Moore with a slightly wounded tone over some acoustic guitar love balladry.

In addition to Moore’s guitars and vocals on the album, other players include violinist Samara Lubelski (Metal Mountains, Hall Of Fame, Tower Recordings, Metabolismus, etc.), harpist Mary Lattimore (also heard on Kurt Vile’s latest), bassist Bram Inscore, drummer Joey Waronker and Beck.
