Lin Brehmer Sings The 7th Inning Stretch At Wrigley Field

[photogallerylink id=70033 align=left]Opening day is Friday with all its celebratory excesses. The XRT Miller Lite Opening Day Live Broadcast begins at 6am at Yakzies. With a new season comes the possibility for new rock and roll songs in the ballpark.

Is the tradition of the [lastfm]Bon Jovi[/lastfm] curse going to live on?

They need songs for rallies. They need songs for pitching changes. And you can help. Just make sure you come up with some well-known energetic XRT favorites that would translate to the sonic stadium experience.

I know you’ve been at games and said why don’t they play…I dunno. “Today” by [lastfm]Smashing Pumpkins[/lastfm] or “Shine” by [lastfm]Collective Soul[/lastfm].

List your choices in the comments section below and I’ll make sure the right people check your choices out.

How about Eddie Vedder’s song that he wrote for Ernie Banks about the Cubs!?! I heard it at one game, shortly after seeing Eddie’s solo concert here in Chicago in 2008. Hoping!!! to be seeing him again this June, and hearing him sing it again!! 🙂

Howz about “Just One Victory” by Todd Rundgren? (Hey, at least it beats the hell outta “Bang the Drum…”!!!)
