Thank You Opening Day Die-Hards!

Just having fun. Photo by Will Byington.
Photos: Everest Live At The XRT Opening…We salute the die-hards who walked in the door of Yak-Zies at 6am. We appreciate everyone who attended the epic XRT Miller Lite Opening Day Broadcast, but there’s something about those opening day regulars, those familiar faces who join us when it’s still dark outside. There are some benefits to that early arrival. You get to stand 18 inches away from the live music. You may never get to see a band as good as Everest that close again.

My new bff, Russell Pollard of Everest. Photo by Will Byington.
Photos: The Waco Brothers At XRT’s…Russell Pollard of Everest suggested that their song “Let Go” should be a theme song for the Cubs in 2011. We also had some fun making up stories about how Russell and Joel met in the Himalayas. Their three song set was fan-tas-tic. All of a sudden it was 10am and time for me to hand the ball to Terri.

Well, we all need someone we can lean on. Photo by Will Byington
Photos: Backyard Tire Fire At…Now, it’s time to get ready for the 93XRT Miller Lite White Sox Opening Day Celebration this Thursday. If baseball is back can Spring be two months behind?

It was my first of what I plan on being an annual outing! I had a BLAST-who knew getting up at 4:30 am could be so much fun? Got to meet the best DJ in Chicago, too! Let’s here it for Lin!
