[pullquote quote=”We all have stuff… piles of songs we want to show each other.” credit=”Drummer, Ronnie Vannuci”]It’s been three years since The KillersDay and Age, but drummer Ronnie Vannucci has revealed that The Killers are indeed heading back into the studio as early as next week to begin working on a new album. Brandon Flowers had stated late last year that the band wasn’t through despite rumors of a breakup, but this was the first reporting of The Killers actually getting back into the studio to start the recording process.

“Tuesday, I think we start doing some writing,” Vannucci was quoted as saying in an interview with London’s Xfm radio. “We all have stuff… piles of songs we want to show each other. We want to get back in the studio and start writing.”

[photogallerylink id=46384 align=left]The Killers first made noise with their 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss, off the strength of a string of hit singles like “Somebody Told Me,” “Smile Like You Mean It,” and “Mr. Brightside.” They have since released two more studio albums, the B-Sides collection, Sawdust, and many solo projects. Day And Age was the band’s last album before announcing a break. Now, three years later, it looks like they’re ready to start recording together again.
