In Chicago we have the Art Institute Of Chicago. In Dallas they have the 8-Track Museum. But it looks like fun. Bucks Burnett has figured out how to display his outrageous collection.

[photogallerylink id=72876 align=left]A couple years ago Rick Nielson gave me the new Cheap Trick album on 8-Track. Nice to look at. Nothing to play it on. In fact, I totally passed up the whole 8-Track format. I think my brother had one in his van, but I refused to sit on shag carpet so I don’t know for sure. If you can’t make it to Dallas, check out the website…. They even have a gift shop with 8-Track t-shirts and a poster modeled after John & Yoko’s anti-war poster that reads “Format War Is Over…If You Want It.” In fact, speaking of the Beatles (I can’t help myself), this video tour focuses on his extensive Beatle and Rutles tape collection. Don’t tell this guy to get a life. He has one.
