Shemekia Copeland

Last night on Blues Breakers we announced an upcoming XRT show with Shemekia Copeland coming in March with ticket sales beginning this week.  We played Buddy Guy in anticipation of his 16 January shows at Buddy Guy’s Legends which start in just a couple of days. And our Artist of the Week was Ronnie Baker Brooks. Ronnie has a birthday coming up and two shows this month in Chicagoland.

Buddy plays Buddy Guy’s Legends 16 nights this month, every Thursday through Sunday. All Saturday shows are now old out. It was recorded for his 1998 album, Heavy Love, but wasn’t included on the album. It was later released on a double CD package called, Can’t Quit the Blues.
