I have said for many years that the Cubs will not win the World Series until Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have performed a concert in Wrigley Field. You don’t believe me? Bruce played a concert for the first time ever in Fenway Park in September of 2003, and the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. Bruce performed a concert at the Cell in August of 2003, and the White Sox won the World Series in 2005. Bruce also performed a concert in San Francisco’s ballpark in 2003, and the Giants won the World Series in 2010. On Saturday, September 8, Bruce will finally play a concert in Wrigley Field; the Cubs fans will be rewarded in the same way that Springsteen fans have been rewarded for over three decades.
