Coldplay To Play For Human Rights
Photos: Coldplay Performs…Hope you’re enjoying today’s Friday Double Feature with Coldplay and Elvis Costello. Coldplay has signed on to join Jon Stewart, Mumford and Sons, Russell Brand and others for the very first Secret Policeman’s Ball to be held in the U.S.A.
This concert was been an annual event in England since the 1970′s. Like the concerts in the U.K., proceeds will benefit Amnesty International. The American version will be held March 4th at Radio City Music Hall. Tickets are on sale now at www.halltickets.org.
And if you love music and would like to support Amnesty International, consider picking up a copy of Chimes Of Freedom, a recently released four CD set of artists covering Bob Dylan. And don’t forget a few years ago they released a two CD set of cover versions of John Lennon songs to benefit Amnesty International’s work in Darfur. Great music. Great cause.
