BOBBY “BLUE” BLAND – STORMY MONDAY BLUES Recorded in Nashville in 1961. Wayne Bennett on guitar.

EDDIE C. CAMPBELL – HOPES AND DREAMS  This song comes from Eddie’s 2000 album of the same name.  Eddie is having trouble right now. Last week he suffered a heart attack and stroke while on tour in Germany. Right now he’s partially paralyzed and being treated in a hospital near Dusseldorf.

BOBBY “BLUE” BLAND – TURN ON YOUR LOVELIGHT Same date and band as “Stormy Monday.”

C.J. CHENIER AND THE RED HOT LOUISIANA BAND – BABY PLEASE DON’T GO  CJ and the band return to FitzGerald’s for their annual winter visit up north this weekend for two nights, Friday and Saturday. The band includes guitarist Tim Betts, now a Chicagolander. Gear up for Mardi Gras. This comes from the 2011 release, Can’t Sit Down.

CARL WEATHERSBY – MATCHBOX HOLDS MY CLOTHES  Carl plays Kingston Mines tonight and Wednesday nights.  This song comes from his album, Restless Feeling.

 BOBBY “BLUE” BLAND – I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU  Recorded in Houston in 1959.

 BOBBY “BLUE” BLAND – AIN’T NO LOVE IN THE HEART OF THE CITY From the 1974 album, Dreamer.

MIGHTY SAM McCAIN – TOO MUCH JESUS AND NOT ENOUGH WHISKEY This is the title track from Sam’s latest.

SHEMEKIA COPELAND – ONE MORE TIME  This is from Shemekia’s new album, 331/3.  Shemekia will be doing a XRT Show at S.P.A.C.E. on Friday, March 8.

BUDDY GUY – COUNTRY BOY One of three studio tracks on the new Buddy Guy album, Live at Legends.

RUTH BROWN – AS LONG AS I’M MOVING Recorded in New York City, March of 1955.  Ruth was born January 12, 1928. She died on November 17,  2006 from complications she suffered as a result of a heart attack.
