Cage the Elephant has a knack for releasing popular singles that somehow find their way into everyone’s ear. The band has released a new single, “Come a Little Closer” from their upcoming album Melophobia. This is the first bit of new work we’ve heard from them since their acclaimed second album, Thank You Happy Birthday. “Come a Little Closer” has more of a spacey and psychedelic groove to it as opposed to the hard-nosed rock feel of most other Cage the Elephant tracks.
“Come a Little Closer” was first debuted on the BBC network. The single will be available digitally on iTunes and all other digital providers on August 13th. Melophobia is set to be released on October 8th, according to sources. Interestingly, Cage the Elephant is also scheduled to open for Muse of their tour in September.
