Death Cab For Cutie took the stage on July 12, 2012 for a monumental moment in XRT’s history. Not only was the band celebrating 40 years of XRT with a 4-D Concert, but their performance marked the 25th XRT Concert at the Taste Of Chicago.

The band’s performance at the Taste Of Chicago highlighted the extensive relationship they’ve had with XRT. From performing XRT Shows at venues of all sizes around Chicago, to their Studio X at Martyrs, Death Cab For Cutie was a fitting choice to celebrate 40 years of XRT. Their XRT 4-D Concert at the Taste of Chicago was broadcast live on XRT and as well as free to attend for Taste attendees.

This Sunday night, tune into XRT at 8 PM to hear Death Cab For Cutie’s performance at the XRT Concert at the Taste of Chicago as part of our Sunday Night Concert series. Death Cab For Cutie will headline the Hideout Block Party/A.V. Fest on Friday, September 5th. That show will mark the band’s last Chicago date with guitarist Chris Walla after he stated his intentions to leave Death Cab For Cutie following their current tour.
