We hope you all had a great Record Store Day on Saturday and that you were to find what you were looking for on such a beautiful day. But the most fun thing about record searching is the unexpected find.

I found a few records at Reckless that for some reason were not already in my collection. I found Jefferson Airplane’s “Surrealistic Pillow”, the first Santana album and Simon, Garfunkel’s “Parsley Sage Rosemary and Tyme” and the find of the day, Lou Reed’s “Rock n Roll Animal!” It’s a live recording from 1974 where Lou backed by a killer band turned Velvet Underground classics into all out blistering rock songs.

I got an original copy in near mint condition for $16.99. It sounds great and today at 4p I’ll spin “White Light/White Heat”
on The Vinyl Frontier. It rocks.
