And it begins! Marty Lennartz sits down with Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons and Will Farguarson of  UK indie rock band Bastille on the eve of their performance from the samsung stage as well as their second forthcoming album, Wild World.

They talk about bringing the “two different beasts” of studio and live performance together on Wild World, housing tracks brought together by more guitar, R&B, hiphop, and deep, provoking lyrics. In Farguarson’s opinion, “What’s a better way to dance than with tears sweating out your eyes?”

“This year has been so surreal and unexpected…it’s beautiful,” says Smith. The band recently became the first to perform at the historic British Museum, even performing “Pompeii” in the Pompeii exhibit.  Farguarson adds with a smirk, “It’s the only thing my Dad’s been proud of!”

All kidding aside, Bastille takes the Samsung stage at 4:30 p.m. and Wild World hits record stores and online September 9th.
