Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird, and Sam Halliday of the Irish rock band Two Door Cinema Club stopped by the XRT Media Compound. The trio took a break after touring for over six years straight and found what they needed apart so they could come back together.

“A lot of learning things about life to be done. We made records right after high school. Missed a huge part of life [while touring], growing up, and figuring ourselves out.”

Playing a few ‘secret’ shows at home helped the band get warmed up to being back on tour again. While they were nervous about being away from their audience for so long, the experience overall was exactly what they needed and they recommend it for all touring bands.

“People want things and they want it now. We have been lucky for being around for a while so we can take breaks. We have to take care of new bands coming through. Tell ’em it’s okay to take a break. There are some [audiences] who love good music and will wait for it.”

The new album GAMESHOW featuring the happy, disco jam ‘Bad Decisions’.
will release on October 14 of this year.
