Tensions are high as the voting season looms a few months away. With lots of noise coming from both ends of the spectrum, it’s easy to get stressed out and feel like the world is caving in on you.

What’s the best recourse during this period of turmoil? Comedy. In 2016, it comes in the cinematic form of Sausage Party.

Absurd, lewd, and completely outrageous, it’s a film hell-bent on causing comedic chaos that the preposterous nature of the movie has to be applauded. The premise of the movie is simple though. Grocery store items yearn to be taken out of the store and into peoples homes. While dreaming of a utopian future, the present gets distorted when reality sets in that death awaits them.

The cast features heavy-hitters such as Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Salma Hayek, Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, James Franco, Bill Hader, and many more.

If you’re looking for a serious laugh and aren’t easily offended, go see this movie.
