Anyone going into a Bruce Springsteen concert knows they’re in for a long night. That’s not a bad thing! Springsteen digs deep into his discography at every performance routinely having 30+ song setlists.

Springsteen’s past few shows have stood out from any concert he’s ever performed. Why? They have been the longest of his career. On August 23, Springsteen performed a 3 hour 52 minute 35 song set in New Jersey. That show would set the record for his longest, but it didn’t last very long.

His next concert on August 25 broke the record when he played for 3 hours and 59 minutes. If you were at his United Center show on Sunday, you had a more “efficient” affair with the show coming in at 3 hours and 35 minutes. has a full setlist breakdown of the concerts.

Stick to the script? Nah, Springsteen refuses to go with the setlist planned ahead of the show. K-Hits Chicago wrote in their concert recap,

“There was no set list. Sort of. There was a set list before the show. I saw it, freshly printed about ten minutes before the band hit the stage. But a set list isn’t a lot of help when the man in charge – having approved the set list that very day – doesn’t stick to it.
