Mel Brooks was not only a longtime collaborator with the late Gene Wilder, but a dear friend as well.

Brooks appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night and shared his memories of Wilder as well as the shock that came with his death. “I expected he would go, but, I don’t know, when it happens it’s still tremendous, it’s a big shock,” he said.
