By Ryan Arnold

Busy, busy, busy around town this weekend – the Chicago Marathon, game 1 of the NLDS between the Cubs and Giants, and Lin & Mary broadcasting live from Wrigley Field on Friday morning. You can listen or stream starting at 6am.

Even with all the hustle and bustle, there’s no way we’d forget about New Noise at Nine OR the good stuff going on with some of the artists we played. In fact, with 16 songs, this week’s show was the most jam packed show I’ve ever done! The Lumineers return to Chicago in the spring with Andrew Bird and Margaret GlaspyJagwar Ma has a Big Beat show lined up for Bottom Lounge, to name a couple.  Oh, and the brand new Rolling Stones tune from Blue & Lonesome. Pre-order the first Stones album in 11 years on Amazon.

Check out the whole playlist below. Remember that buying a ticket to a gig and purchasing music from a local, independent, or family-owned music store is a great way to support the artists you hear on New Noise at Nine. When you do, let me know what you found!
