One high-tension and exciting weekend of baseball to open the NLCS. Saturday, Javy Baez stole home and Miguel Montero came in for a pinch hit grand slam to break the game wide open after the Los Angeles Dodgers pulled even over several innings at Wrigley. The crowd was still roaring when Dexter Fowler went back-to-back with a solo shot. An unbelievable opening night of the series of baseball.

Yesterday was a pitcher’s duel on par with the NLDS series opener against Johnny Cueto. The Cubs saw this coming with Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw taking the mound. Adrian Gonzalez took a Kyle Hendricks pitch over the left field fence in the second inning to give Kershaw and Kenley Jansen all the run support they’d need. Now the series shifts to Los Angeles for three consecutive games beginning Tuesday when the Cubs face off against their former starter, Rich Hill.

Len Kasper joins Lin Brehmer on the XRT Morning Show at 8:30am Mondays & Fridays to talk about your NL Central champion Chicago Cubs as they run into the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Len & Lin: never letting the pressure exceed the pleasure, on 93XRT.
