It will be an unprecedented event on Chicago radio airwaves.
For a half an hour Nov. 14, at 6 p.m., more than 40 Chicagoland radio stations with a variety of formats, including 93XRT, will simultaneously air a “Chicago Radio Town Hall Meeting” – a conversation with the mayor about issues facing the city.
“My colleagues and I all share a deep sense of responsibility to our audiences. This unprecedented broadcast connects an enormous number of people with their elected leader tasked with making lives better for everyone in Chicago,” says Doug Levy, Illinois Broadcasters Association Chairman of the Board.
IBA Hall of Fame broadcast journalist Bill Kurtis will moderate the event.
