On a wind-whipped Sunday in New Jersey, Pat O’Donnell showed some leg. He punted a total of six times for a net average of 45.8 yards with no touchbacks. On two booming kicks, O’Donnell sent the ball inside the Giant 20-yard line on punts of 50 and 67 yards. Another monster shot of 54 yards was muffed by New York returner Dwayne Harris. Unfortunately, the Bears special teams could not recover to capitalize on the miscue. It was arguably O’Donnell’s best game of the season, and with many more games like this, he could very well find himself representing the Bears as a starter for the NFC’s Pro Bowl team in Orlando early next year.

Chicago Bears defensive lineman / fullback Mitch Unrein joins the XRT Morning Show the morning after every Bears game at 9:15am for the Two Minute Drill.
