By Marty Rosenbaum

The latest iteration of the Allman Brothers Band played their latest show two years ago. If they were to ever reform, don’t bet on Derek Trucks being a part of the lineup.

Trucks sat down with the Boston Herald ahead of Tedeschi Trucks Band’s three-night residency at Boston’s Orpheum Theater. Jed Gottleib opened the piece writing,

“Derek Trucks isn’t interested in that rumored Allman Brothers Band reunion in 2017. He loves the guys and music, but the former ABB guitarist has a group of his own now, the Tedeschi Trucks Band. And they’re tremendous.”

Trucks also revealed an upcoming release from Tedeschi Trucks Band, saying, “We’ve also got a new live album we’re finishing up and a (concert) film. We’re going to stay on it.”
