Jon; Nick;
Congratulations on Revenge of the Mekons Documentary. I have been to many Waco Brothers show and most recently your art/music show with Walter Salas Humara at the Hideout. I regualarly see Alejandro when in town and Nick is usually there, always great.
The documentary I directed, Drive Somewhere, the Saga of the Vulgar Boatmen is premiering at Schubas on Jan 8th. I would like to extend an invitation to you and Nick to attend. Later in the evening, the Vulgar Boatmen have reunited to play a rare show. email me back and I will put you on the guest list.
We are organizing a premiere of the film at SXSW and since the band very rarely performs, we are planning a tribute to the band too. Some of the performers who have committed include Walter Salas Humara, Michael Hall and John Strohm. We would love to have you perform a few songs including a Boatmen song at the show. If you would like a copy of the film, send me your address or I can send a downloadable link. Below is a synopsis of the film and links to the trailer.
