Its lineup spanned across the entire musical spectrum, from the Grammy-winning alternative rock of Arcade Fire, to the progressive metal of Opeth, to the rap/hip-hop of Lil Wayne, determined to have a little something for everybody.

G. Love (Brushfire Records)

Photos: Backstage Performances…Don’t write G. Love & Special Sauce off as just another hippy-dippy band. G. plays hip hop based in Blues and R&B, and is known for his unique “sloppy” and “laid-back” sound, but he’s got depth. His latest single was a cover of Bob Dylan‘s “Fixin’ To Die.” (download it below) The Sauce formed in Philadelphia in 1992, but this band reaches backs into the depths of American music history, and they’re good, really good.

Amos Lee

Daniel Lanois is best known for his work as one of the world’s finest and most in-demand producers. He has worked with Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, U2 and most recently with Neil Young just to name a few and often is able to bring a fresh, innovative approach to veteran artists. Ryan Bingham

Photos: The Bonnaroo ExperienceBorn in New Mexico, Ryan Bingham spent years bull-riding and busking and sleeping in the back of a pickup truck. He eventually pulled together a band, the Dead Horses, and the group forged a hard-driving sound that thrilled honky-tonk and rock types alike. Before long he was offered the chance to work with esteemed producer T. Sam Beam

Photos: Backstage Performances…Multi-talented Samuel Beam is the kind of songwriter that comes around but so often. He and his Chicago backing musicians comprise Iron & Wine. Earlier this year they performed at Chicago’s Hideout before a group of 100 and last week they headlined Millennium Park in front of 15,000.
