We've been delighted by Neko Case's new song, "Bad Luck" from her forthcoming album Hell On, and now we have even more to hold us over until the album comes out on June 1st via Anti.

“Curse Of The I-5 Corridor” is a seven minute duet featuring baritone singer and previous collaborator Mark Lanegan. Although Lanegan is featured on this song, this is Case's first solo album in five years. She produced most of the album herself, partnering with Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John. According to an interview with Rolling Stone, Case said the songs are "my best self. They are everything I've worked for since I was a kid, whether I knew it or not. I write songs from a feeling of solidarity with folks who feel alone or isolated, I think I'm trying to comfort people in this way. It's not a forceful way rather, 'No commitment necessary;' take it if you want it, take it as you can."

Catch Neko Case at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island with Ray LaMontagne on June 16th. Buy tickets here.
