I had a terrific time back in 1977 this week, celebrating a year filled with an incredible range of dynamic sounds from established bands, newcomers and groups that were a mix of both. The Regular Guy reviewed "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" from a musical point of view and our Twitter "Guess the Opening Act" mystery was solved when I revealed that it was Graham Parker and the Rumour that went on before Thin Lizzy at the Uptown Theater 41 years ago. (I've heard stories from people who have been inside the Uptown recently that you can still hear echoes of that performance to this day. Spooky!) I wrapped up the show with a dedication to the recently deceased Italian Village founder Frank Capatini with a dining classic from a man and his piano. Here's the playlist:

"The Passenger" by Iggy Pop

"Mr. Blue Sky" by Electric Light Orchestra

"Sweet Wine of Love" by Robin Trower

"Oh Caroline" by Cheap Trick

"She's Not There" by Santana
